At 4 Paws, we are proactive about oral health. We offer 2 dental check appointments annually of your pet. The first during their annual health check and the second 6 months later free of charge with our nurses. At these appointments we will determine whether your pet requires a dental procedure and help you with some preventative treatment advice. If your pet requires a dental procedure, we will create a thorough estimate and plan for you prior to the procedure.
We have modern equipment which allows us to perform a thorough oral health assessment under general anaesthesia. Our portable dental x-ray machine can be used to identify disease below the gumline, which would otherwise go undetected. While scaling and polishing (professional cleaning) and extraction of unhealthy teeth are the most common procedures performed, other procedures our team can perform include intra-oral lump removal and biopsy, and management of congenital dental malocclusions.
